What is Coconut Whisk Baking Co?
At Coconut Whisk, we love puppy snuggles, almond milk and, of course, homemade baked goods. We especially love baked goods that are fresh, wholesome and hassle-free.
Coconut Whisk offers vegan & allergen friendly baking mixes made with ingredients that are simple, gluten-free and real. We believe food connects people and no one should miss out due to allergies or lifestyle choices.
We all have a human need to find, create and share it with the people we love. Baking is a simple and empowering way to do just that.
Coconut Whisk is not only about quality products but it’s also an experience. We want our customers to create cherished memories with loved ones while using our products— all without the fuss. To make fresh and homemade vegan baked goods even more hassle-free, we plan on also adding a subscription option which allows you to receive our products every single month!
Giving to our communities and being socially responsible is a way of living for us, that’s why we pledge to donate a percentage of our profits to animal shelters, rescue organizations and farm sanctuaries here in Minnesota (and soon the world!).

The Story Behind Coconut Whisk Baking Co.
Like all good stories, the idea came to me (Bella) as a shower thought. It struck me in the middle of January 2018 and right away, I knew I wanted Myles to partner with me on this.
The idea to create a vegan baking mix company stemmed from our own love of baking and the lack of options at the grocery stores. Before this idea, we thought of vegan chocolate, vegan food truck etc. But those didn’t stick like this idea did.
Growing up, baking was my favorite way to spend my days. When Myles and I first started dating, baking was what brought us closer together. It was (and still is) one of our favorite ways to bond. All our happiest memories were created in the kitchen so naturally, we wanted to bring that to the people around us.
After that shower epiphany, I was ready to nose dive into this. Myles thought I was joking but I had my heart set on this new vision and I was determined to give it a try. Ever since that snowy night, Myles and I have been hustling hard to make this dream a reality. We tested and developed recipes, built prototypes from scratch, attended small business workshops, asked for mentorship, searched for suppliers, and the list goes on and on…
We’ve had tough days but we’ve also had some really amazing ones as a result of this venture. We are excited to see where this idea will lead us and can’t wait to continue to share our favorite recipes with you and your family.
What have we accomplished?
Along with creating a solid foundation for our startup (in regards to legal, financials, finding a commercial kitchen, getting licensed, business plans etc) here are a few milestone that Coconut Whisk has proudly acheived:

- 2018 Big Ideas Challenge Ag/Food/Beverage 1st Place Winner
- 2018 Minnesota State University Mankato Youth entrepreneurship Fair 1st Place Winner
What’s in the upcoming months?
We are working on our website launch on May 22nd 2018! AND a local launch party/ribbon cutting ceremony at PRIMP Boutique Mankato! We’re also gearing up for lots of events this summer! If you’d like us to be at your next event, please inquire at hello@coconutwhisk.com 🙂
