PREP your mindset
- Find your why
-What are the motivations behind your wants? Are they genuine? Make sure that it’s clear because this’ll help you during the not-so-fun-times.
- Find supportive people
-This is one of the most overused advice out there but there’s a lot of truth to it. There are so many people on earth that you have no excuse (or time!) to be wasting it on those who are judgemental, negative and toxic. Find your tribe of people you genuinely support, motivate and encourage you.
- Spend time alone
You need to be your own best friend because you spend your whole life with yourself. Whether you like it or not, you have to get comfortable with yourself! I’m sure you’re amazing so it’ll be a party! Alone time helps me find clarity and answers. I journal during my alone time because this is THE best way to reflect and uncover any buried feelings and thoughts. Fill yourself up so that your happiness and love can spill out to others.
- Stay away from social media for a bit
This is especially important when comparison starts happening. It’s so easy to compare your daily hustle with someone else’s highlight reel. Remember that despite people’s good intentions, those photos are filtered and not real life. Real life happens when we’re offline! Helpful hint: Instead of scrolling– try contributing to the conversation online or leave some positivity– this helps me feel 100x better.
STEPS TO GOAL SETTING
- Let go of negative beliefs. Let go of those thoughts that don’t serve your life goals.
- Write down your goals and read it every single day! Right now, I’m using the Start Planner and Lara Casey’s Powersheets to help me set my goals– but you seriously don’t need to invest money if you don’t want or do anything fancy. I would start fresh when a new month arrives and use my template from this blog post I wrote about goal setting!
- Use visualization! Ask for what you want then picture it happening in your mind. Cultivate the feelings that are being attributed to that goal. Think about your surroundings, think about the smells, the specific shirt that you’re wearing etc etc. I made it a habit of visualizing in the morning during my yoga routine and I really believe it’s helped me manifest some of my biggest goals.
- Take action! It’s good to learn but nothing happens unless you do the work. Don’t ever wait for the perfect time to start something. The fun part is in the trial and errors, that’s where you grow the most.
So that’s it for today, my dear friends! Hope you enjoyed this!
